Juniors and Junior Parents,
REMINDER......Our 11th-grade students will be taking the SAT here at LHS on 3/2/22. Please be at LHS by 7:40 am so we can begin testing promptly at 8:00 am. This test is REQUIRED and will be given for free to our Junior class. Mr. Gilb shared testing locations with students last week and we successfully conducted the optional practice/demographic test today.
Virtual students are required to test here at LHS.
Career Center students will be excused from the Career Center on Wednesday and will be dismissed at the completion of testing.
IVY Tech AM welding students will be excused from Ivy Tech.

Seniors and Senior Parents, Ivy Tech has some great initiatives this Spring and Summer that they want to make sure our Seniors are aware of. If you are interested in continuing your education at Ivy Tech or interested in beginning your education there, stop in and see Mr. Gilb or Mr. Caudill for more information. Tuesday at the Tech - High school focused experience for students to find out why so many call Ivy Tech home, and why our campus size is perfect through our Tuesday at the Tech high school visit days this spring. Personalized visit highlighting our campus life, structured program information, student insights, in-depth look at the admissions process, FAFSA guidance, and what to do next. There are flyers with the dates and times of Tuesday at the Tech posted around LHS. Seniors can scan the QR code on a flyer to RSVP. Crossing the Finish Line – It’s back for the summer!! Students who are within 15 credit hours of earning an Ivy Tech credential are eligible to take free courses this summer. Students who are registered for 2nd 8-week courses may also be eligible for funding.

ROAD TRIP! Grade 9 and Grade 10 Students Get a group of your friends together and join the fun while riding on a Charter Bus going to visit the campus of Vincennes University. Explore what program you might be interested in and what a day is like on the campus of Vincennes University. We will be traveling there on Thursday April 7. Stop by the Early College office to sign up.
Calling all Juniors! Xmester is Back! Vincennes University invites you to attend their residential program on the campus from June 8 through June 11. You can see what it is like to live on a college campus while earning 1 college credit. If you are interested, please stop in the Early College office to see Ms. O'Neal. The cost for this program is only $50.00. This includes your housing and meals. Transportation to and from Vincennes University will be provided by LHS.
Yearbook is hosting a Guess the Teacher competition now until Friday, February 25th. Check out the pictures of teachers and staff from their high school days in the cafeteria. Use the QR code posted to make your guesses. Top three students who guess the most teachers and staff correctly will win a $10 Dunkin Gift Card. Parents and Sophomore Students,
We are ready to begin scheduling current Sophomores for the 2022-2023 school year. We highly encourage parents to attend these scheduling meetings if possible. If you have students in multiple grades, we can schedule them consecutively. Please go to the link below and select one appointment time for each student. Appointments will be conducted in person but can be done virtually or over the phone by request.
If your child has an IEP for special education services, you do NOT need to schedule one of these times as there will be a case conference held to determine classes for next year.
