Our kindergartners LOVED having their grandparents at LPS today and showing them their school. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our event!

Ms. Taylor's English class at LHS shared their Senior Projects with our preschoolers today. The students loved hearing their original stories. Thank you for helping our love of literacy grow! 📚

👀📚 Exciting work today! Our building administrators came together to design a CKLA walkthrough tool that supports teachers, celebrates strong instruction, and ensures consistency across classrooms. #ScienceOfReading #CKLA

What a great afternoon spent with our 1st grade “Grandpersons” at LPS! The students enjoyed showing their grand people their school. 🍎

Congratulations to this week's Beat the Bell Winners! Thanks for being at school on time!

Preschoolers in Mrs. Sturgeon's class had fun learning about the letter Aa, Johnny Appleseed, and apples this week! We sorted by colors, learned positional words, sequenced events, made comparisons, talked about opposites, explored the life cycle of an apple, and even got to make our own yummy apple pies in a cup! 🍏 😋 🍎

Today we celebrated students GREAT behavior for the first 9 weeks with popsicles and extra recess!

Kindergarten has been busy learning. Check out these fun activities: CVC Hopscotch and Reading real and make-believe CVC words.

LPS/CES students and staff are enjoying the PTO Walk-a-thon! Students especially loved the sno cones!

We had the sweetest celebration with our preschoolers and their grandparents! 💐
Grandparents joined us for a special snack, made a fun craft together 🖍️✂️, and even got to head outside for recess fun on the playground. 🌞
We are so thankful for the special role grandparents play in our little learners’ lives.

Congratulations to the August Rockin' Readers! These students received a new book, bookmark, and certificate. Keep on reading!📚

In Miss Bagshaw's classroom, the second grade students have been transformed into gods and goddesses! As a fun way to further explore their unit on Ancient Greek Civilization, they made crowns to show what they've learned. Each student chose a god or goddess, then decorated their crown with the figure's story and what they meant to the Greek people!👑🏛️

Congratulations to this week's Beat the Bell winners! Each week a random number is selected. Teachers send down the student with that number to the office to get a prize if they were on time to school. Today was lucky number 10! Great job getting school on time!
